FACILITIES
Internet Access
  Internet access is available in the Library and the Study Area. There are 9 PCs installed with internet access in the Library while wireless network for laptop/smartphone users is available in the Library and Study Area.
Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC)
  There are 2 PCs in SUKD library and 1 PC in SCKD library allocated for OPAC. Users may do a book search via these terminals.
Multimedia Accessory
  Multimedia earphones are available for private view of multimedia content on the PCs installed at the Library. Please enquire at the Counter on terms and conditions of use.
Photocopy and printing facility
  A card operated photocopier is available. The charges are RM0.10 for A4 size paper and RM0.20 for A3 size paper. The photocopier also acts as a printer and is connected to the PCs in the Library. The same charges apply.
Daily Newspapers
  The daily newspapers from The Star, The New Straits Times, Berita Harian, Sin Chew Daily News and The New York Times are available daily during opening hours.
Journals and Magazines (click here for full list)
  The subscribed journals and magazines are available at the Serials section.
Cubicles
  Storage cubicles are available at entrance to the Library for users to place their non-valuable items. For valuable items users are advised to use the lockers.
Special area for study and discussions
  For group discussions or study purposes, the SUKD study Area is available at 4th floor of the building with a seating capacity of 250 while SCKD study area is beside the library with a seating capacity of 90.
Lockers
  Storage Lockers: Long-term locker rental and daily rental lockers are provided at the library.

Remote Access
  Access to subscribed online resources outside the campus is available with login access. Please enquire at the counter for the ID and password.
Information Skills Session
  A free training session to equip students with information seeking skills and to learn about the resources available at the Library. Please sign-up or enquire at the counter for more information.
Interlibrary Loan Service
  This service is for assisting students and staff in searching and obtaining journal articles for the purpose of doing research or writing a thesis or dissertation. The service is available for all staff and postgraduate students of SUKD/SCKD.
  a) Procedure
   
  1. Submit an application requesting for an article search at the Library’s counter during opening hours. (Click to download the form)
  2. The requestor will be notified via email/telephone of the status of the search within TWO (2) weeks.
  3. The requestor must pick up the article (if available) from the Library and acknowledge receipt.
  b) Terms and Conditions
   
  1. Each postgraduate student is allowed only 10 articles per year.
  2. The articles obtained are solely for research purposes and not to be distributed.
  3. Availability of article is not guaranteed and the Library is not liable for any delay in obtaining the article.
Think Tank rooms
  The 4 Think Tank rooms located in the Library are meant for students to hold discussions or conduct group study. Use of the rooms is strictly by booking only. Each room can sit about 6 to 8 persons.
  a) Procedure
   
  1. Book a time slot at the Counter.
  2. Student must produce their Student ID card to make a booking.
  3. On the day and time of your booking please produce your Student ID to collect the room key.
  4. After use, please inform the staff at the counter to inspect the room before returning the key.
  b) Terms and Conditions
   
  1. Booking can only be done during opening hours.
  2. Each student is only allowed to book maximum 2 time slots per week.
  3. Each time slot is 3 hours.
  4. Advance booking is allowed for only 1 week.
  5. On the spot use of Think Tank is allowed if there are no current booking.
  6. Strictly no food and drink in the Think Tank room.
  7. Rooms booked in the evening or at weekends must be vacated 15 minutes before library closing time.
  8. Maximum booking per day is 1 time slot.
  9. The booking will be cancelled if the student who made the booking did not show up within 15 minutes of the booking time slot.
  10. Ensure no litter is left behind after use of the room.
  11. All furniture should be arranged in the original positions before leaving.
  12. No personal belongings or books should be left in the room.
  13. The Library has the discretion to cancel any bookings or request users to leave the room or to conduct spot checks.
  14. If users fail to comply with the terms and condition or defy instructions given by the Library staff, their Library accounts will be suspended indefinitely.
  15. Loss of room key, left key locked inside the room or return key after the allowed duration will incur a fine of RM30 on the user.
